Inverted and impacted maxillary third molar. Report of two cases.
Two cases of inverted and impacted third molars are described. They were conservatively managed without surgery. Complications that may arise from surgical removal of inverted and impacted teeth must be carefully considered beforehand. These should be weighed against the benefit of surgical removal. The two cases are reported because impaction with inversion of a molar tooth is not common.
متن کاملAccidental displacement of impacted maxillary third molar: a case report.
An unusual case of an impacted right maxillary third molar that was accidentally displaced into the maxillary sinus during exodontia and was surgically retrieved almost 2 years later is described. متن کاملDentigerous cyst with an impacted third molar obliterating complete maxillary sinus.
Dentigerous cyst is the most commonly occurring odontogenic cyst after radicular cyst and accounts for 15% of all true cysts in the jaws. The cyst is more common in mandible than in maxilla. The dentigerous cyst is commonly associated with impacted mandibular third molars. In maxilla, the incidence is rare. Dentigerous cyst in maxillary sinus in association with an impacted third molar is an un...
متن کاملMandibular third molar autotransplantation--literature review with clinical cases.
Autotransplantation of mandibular third molars in a precocious phase of development is indicated when a substitute for adjacent compromised or missing molars is needed, and when mesial movements of the posterior teeth, the resultant loss of space, and overeruption of opposing teeth and consequent changes in the occlusion must be avoided. Provided that the apices of the mandibular third molar ar...
